OTCS Students Interpreting Scripture Through Biblical Hermeneutics

December 18, 2014

Theology students from the Olivet Theological College & Seminary are delving into the interpretation and application of biblical Scripture thanks to Dr. Mark Hanna’s latest Biblical Hermeneutics course.

The course looks to provide students with correct principles and methods for a sound interpretation of the Bible to equip them with skills for verbal and non-verbal communication in the subject matter. The Biblical Hermeneutics course also assists students in finding the applicable meaning of Scripture to certain situations.

Dr. Hanna’s approach is breaking down the course into comprehensible parts that connect students closer to the lessons and making it relevant to today’s culture.  The course surveys various doctrines in Christianity, other religions, and philosophical theories as part of the curriculum.

"I enjoy Dr. Hanna's class as his lectures are very logical and profound. I can follow it well and study theology systematically," shared one student.

For over thirty year Dr. Mark Hanna has lectured in numerous universities and theological schools around the world. He earned his Ph.D. in Philosophy and M.A. degrees in Philosophy and Religious studies from the University of Southern California.
