Online Assessment System enhancing OTCS Programs

April 29, 2015

Olivet Theological College & Seminary (OTCS) adopted a revamped interim and final online assessment system aimed at improving academic performances for both faculty and students. Evaluations on achievements of student learning objectives and interactions with professors are two important factors in the assessment.

The assessment includes True/False, multiple-choice surveys and Fill-in-the-blank question items. Faculty may review the question's performance from their courses and provide the program director with opinions on keeping, revising, and improving Olivet University’s student experience.

"Although the assessment system will require more resources, it is a very beneficial step towards assisting students achieve their goals, " shared a staff in the OTCS assessment department.

Students who are having difficulty in classes, the University will offer consultation and support for improving their studies for the rest of the quarter.
