JavaOne 2015 Convention Inspires OIT Students

November 16, 2015

Olivet Institute of Technology students recently joined computer programmers from around the world at JavaOne 2015 in San Francisco.

Dubbed as the world’s largest gathering of software developers who use the Java language, JavaOne drew thousands of professionals globally from leading companies for this five days event with full of IT sessions and presentations.

During the Oct. 25-29 Oracle OpenWorld Convention, OIT students learned five key points:

  • 1. Data visualization cloud service
  • 2. Supply chain management
  • 3. Database cloud
  • 4. Human capital management
  • 5. Fusion Middleware

The students were inspired at the tech event to learn more about how technology is evolving and being used.

I really like these kind of events. They expand my view of technology, said one student who attended the convention. Seeing how many people are interested in technology really lit a fire within me to learn more.

With the celebration of 20th anniversary this year, Java continues helping developers drive innovation and improve enterprise services.
