St. Louis Extension Opens Worship Studies Registration Upon Accreditation

June 08, 2018

With approval by the Association of Biblical Higher Education this spring, Olivet University will open its first worship studies course this July at its extension site in St. Louis, Missouri. Co-located with Jubilee World headquarters, an international musicians’ and performing artists’ fellowship, the summer courses offered by the University are aimed at the needs of musicians entering the field of ministry in the church on a professional level.

“It is a great opportunity for our seminary to have the chance training worship pastors in St. Louis in this city defined by its music and performing arts history,” said Dr. Matthias Gebhardt, Dean of Olivet Theological College and Seminary.  He expects the new extension to be very attractive for students preparing for serious ministry in the worship music field.

“The seminary is launching a joint degree program with the Jubilee College of Music this summer.  We hope to equip pastors with a strong music ministry inclination with a full master of Divinity and a Master of Arts in Music,” explained Gebhardt.

After having received acknowledgement for operating the program partially at the new site, registration is now open for the first class in July.
