Theology Students Reflect on Christian Apologetics Course

December 19, 2019

Olivet Theological College and Seminary (OTCS) offered Christian Apologetics courses to both its Bachelors and Masters Students on various campuses including San Francisco, Riverside, St. Louis, and Washington D.C. The course was also offered online.

This course dealt with subjects such as how we communicate the Christian faith to those who are opposed or uncommitted to it. Christian apologetics defends the faith against opponents but also reaches out to them in a positive way.

"Apologetics" comes from the Greek, "Apologetics" which means presenting a subject in its best light.

Upon the conclusion of the course, students from various campuses reflected.

"Believing in God's existence, Jesus' cross and resurrection, and the authority of the Bible are the fundamental questions in my faith. The course taught me clearly, in a reasonable, systematic, and provable way that God exists. Jesus Christ was resurrected and the Bible is truly from God's inspiration," shared an online student.

"I was waiting for this course, even though I knew that it would not be easy to study it. From the past three weeks, I received insight on evangelism, and I am eager to share it with others," a student from Riverside Campus reflected.

"I am truly grateful for God to have led this course throughout the fall quarter. Also, I am appreciative of all the students who participated in the classes and wish them the best for their progress in their theological education." commented course instructor Dr. Joseph J. Lee.

OTCS hopes and prays that the insight the students have gained from the apologetics course will be used to advance missions and ministries.
