ZSDS Annual Colloquium at Riverside Campus Will Feature Seminars on Diverse Topics

October 24, 2017

Zinzendorf School of Doctoral Studies will be holding its annual colloquium from Nov 6 to 16 at Olivet University’s Riverside campus. This year ZSDS is bringing in a couple of new faculty who will lecture on diverse topics.

The colloquium will feature eight intensive seminars for doctoral students. Each will meet for three and a half hours daily for five days, and then continue over the coming months via Populi online classroom.

Besides the regular required seminars on Global Theology, Global Missiology, and Research Methods, the elective seminars cover a wide range of topics. ZSDS welcome back Dr. Mimi Haddad who is again to teach "Women in Christian History and Theology", which was very well received last year.

The new seminars are "Advanced Biblical Hermeneutics" by Dr. Susan Bubbers; "Ministering in Cross-Cultural International Churches" by Dr. David Pederson; one on the Christian role in East Asian history, by Dr. Charles Weber; and one on discipleship taught by ZSDS professors, Dr. Mark and William Wagner.

"I hope our students share my excitement that we are able to attract these qualified professors with diverse backgrounds. As they work on their assignments throughout the coming academic year, these seminars will help our students to be better enabled to expand and build up the body of Christ," Dean of ZSDS Dr. Donald Tinder said.
