How to Make a Great Newspaper (Seminar)

Great newspapers carry quality features that keep readers coming back. This module, consisting of five intense workshops, will teach online editors and reporters how to provide reliable and quality information to their audience. Participants will learn how to find great writing topics, write on articles from other news websites without plagiarizing and write captivating headlines that drive traffic. Workshops will also cover how to capture the right photo for your articles, and which tools, including Web 2.0 tools, you can use to get readers to return to your news website. The module is recommended for beginning to intermediate reporters but is open to anyone interested. There will be a total of 5 sessions, each 3 hours long.
