Olivet University campus developer Dover Greens is kicking off its project to adorn the Dover facility’s iconic brick buildings with beautiful ivy this year.
The project is intended to cover the campus’s red brick buildings with the same splendorous covering of ivy that adorns the prestigious Ivy League institutions in the Northeastern United States.
This month, Dover Greens was able to identify the grower and wholesale supplier of the “Hedera Ivy,” the same species of ivy grown at Princeton University.
Dover Greens is also making plans for the first locations where the ivy will be installed, the method of installation, and ordering details.
Special care is being taken to ensure that the quality of the ivy at the Dover location matches top quality varieties, as opposed to more common, but insidious ivy plantings that are hard to control and often need to be torn down eventually.
