Olivet University Engages Anza Community through Local Radio Station Fundraiser

May 09, 2024

Representatives and theology students from Olivet University recently had the pleasure of attending an annual fundraising event hosted by friends at KOYT 97.1 FM, Anza's beloved local-run broadcasting station.

The event hosted community residence with

this year's theme Bubbles & BBQ. Radio station program director Erinne Roscoe led the event encouraging guests to enjoy and support the community-powered radio station. The event featured live music, a silent auction, raffles, door prizes and catered food by Island Fusion BBQ.

“It was an enriching experience to be able to connect with local influencers, community leaders, residents both old and new, and prospective partners in agriculture,” said University President Matthias Gebhardt.

Those who have visited the campus couldn't help but share the wonderful things they have experienced through past tours, open houses, and on-campus events.

Olivet also used the opportunity to introduce new personnel to the community as new Anza residents. Reflecting on the past year, Olivet University is grateful for the many friendships cultivated through community service initiatives and event participation.

Olivet University looks forward to more fruitful collaborations and meaningful connections with the local Anza community.
