Olivet University Celebrates 22nd Anniversary Following GCES

March 05, 2026

Olivet University (OU) joyfully celebrated its 22nd Anniversary on March 3, 2026, following the successful conclusion of the Global Christian Education Summit (GCES).

The commemorative service began with a prayer by OU President Jonathan Park, who reflected on Psalm 66:16: “Come and hear, all you who fear God; let me tell you what He has done for me.” In his prayer, President Park gave thanks to God for His faithfulness over the past year, testifying to the power of the resurrection and the many blessings and victories the University has experienced.

A special choir, led by Dr. Emily Ko of Jubilee University, presented the song “The Lord Is My Strength and Song,” filling the gathering with praise and gratitude. The performance was followed by a video presentation highlighting key milestones and moments from the past year.

The sermon was delivered by OU’s Founder, Dr. David Jang, who made a special visit for the occasion. Preaching from Hebrews 12, Dr. Jang encouraged the Olivet community to persevere in its calling and to continually “fix our eyes on Jesus, the pioneer and perfector of faith” as the University moves forward in faith and mission.

Following the service, a cake-cutting ceremony brought together OU leaders and guests from the GCES in a moment of celebration and fellowship.

Olivet University extends its heartfelt gratitude to the entire Olivet family—faculty, staff, students, alumni, and supporters—for their continued prayers and steadfast support of the University’s mission.
