  • Biblical Foundation for Intercultural Ministry

    The intensive lecture "Biblical Foundation For Intercultural Ministry," taught by Dr. J. Ray Tallman, Director of Middle East Missions, took place on the first week on April. Olivet Theological College & Seminary M.Div students from around the world took part.

  • OCAD: 7th-13th Christian Art History

    Professor Joan Carter, who is also the dean of the OU Art & Design College, taught the course on "Christian Art History". The 2-hour class covered Byzantine and Western Christian Art, and students learned to analyze the art form and patterns in the art pieces, which were viewed through a projector.

  • New Student Orientation Information

    Olivet's Student Orientation provides new students with an introduction to the unique educational experience at Olivet University, and assists with the transition to the University community. This year Olivet has enhanced the orientation with an online component made up of intentional programming designed to integrate students into the unique spiritual, intellectual and social environment available to everyone at Olivet.

  • Olivet Receives Gift from OTCS Dean

    On March 15, Dr. William Wagner, dean of Olivet Theological College and Seminary, expressed his love for Olivet University by presenting a hand-carved wooden plague of the university's Coat of Arms as a gift to the school.

  • Olivet opens at former UC Berkeley Extension Campus site

    Olivet University's main campus facilities are now located at 250 4th Street in downtown San Francisco, formerly used as the site of the University of California Berkeley San Francisco Extension Campus.

  • Jubilee Prepares for Spring 2005

    Jubilee College of Music administration and staff are preparing for the Spring 2005 semester. With the newly reinforced faculty and staff, this new semester is running to a firm and promising start.

  • OTCS concludes inaugural Doctor of Ministry program lectures

    Twenty students of various ethnic and linguistic backgrounds participated in Olivet Theological College and Seminary's inaugural Doctor of Ministry program lecture series, which concluded on Feb. 26.

  • Music school expands faculty

    Students enrolled for Fall 2005 will greet an expanded and more professionally diverse faculty in Jubilee Collge of Music. Professors with expertise in the fields of voice, piano, guitar, and composition are being considered for next semester.

  • Library renovations for spring semester near completion

    Renovations for Olivet University's William Carey Library that began late last year are expected to be completed in time to greet new and returning students beginning classes for the 2005 spring semester.

  • Olivet University E-Library renamed William Carey Library

    On Friday, Nov. 12 Olivet University's E-library was dedicated as the William Carey Library in honor of the legendary English Protestant missionary William Carey, known as "the father of modern missions."

  • Olivet hosts widely attended leadership conference

    Olivet University held a leadership conference Oct. 29 - 31 at the university's downtown San Francisco campus. Staff, students, and special guests were invited to join the event, which included of keynote speeches, plenary sessions, themed conferences, as well as worship services, praise and prayer meetings.
