OSEA Offers AutoCad and 2D Computer Course

October 03, 2018

The Olivet School of Engineering and Architecture (OSEA) is offering its 2D Computer course in this Fall. The hands on course will include training on software such as AutoCAD, Revit, and other supplementary programs.

Students will be designing and drafting projects with computer-aided tools that can apply as fundamental skills in the field of architecture and civil engineering. OSEA students who started their projects during the Summer quarter can use the skills from AutoCad to enhance their visual communication. The course will provide opportunities for students to present their projects in further detail with the aid of 2D visuals and layouts.

One of the projects that uses AutoCad would be the Tiny Home construction Summer course. Students have started making basic models of the wooden frames of the structure that includes how much materials are needed along with measurements. The new course would equip OSEA students to further advance their design capabilities and innovative thinking on both current and future projects.
