Continuing a cherished tradition of leaving behind a living legacy, the graduating Class of 2026 at Olivet University has presented a new olive tree as its senior class gift.
The tree symbolizes the hopes and prayers of the graduating class, that just as the olive tree grows, flourishes, and bears fruit over the years, so too will the lives and callings of the Class of 2026. The gift reflects the students’ gratitude for their time at Olivet University and their desire to leave something meaningful for future generations.
A special ceremony will be held to recognize and dedicate the gift from the Class of 2026. The newly planted olive tree now stands across from the Administration Building at the Riverside main campus, joining the row of olive trees planted by previous graduating classes. Together, these trees serve as a visible reminder of the many students who have passed through the university and the enduring impact they hope to make in their communities and beyond.
As the olive trees continue to grow and bear fruit, they serve as reminders that education is not only about what students receive, but also about the legacy they leave behind. Each graduating class contributes another chapter to the continuing story of Olivet University.
The Class of 2026’s gift continues a tradition that celebrates gratitude, service, and the hope that future generations will also plant seeds that bless others.
