Language School Welcomes New ESL Faculty

The staff and students of Olivet School of Language Education welcomed its new ESL faculty member Lisa Baer for the Fall quarter.

Ms. Baer holds a Bachelor's degree in Broadcast from San Diego State University and a Master's degree in Education from National University San Diego.

She has 20 years of English Language teaching experience specializing in teaching the English language to international students. She has taught students from diverse backgrounds, nationalities, and cultures.

Ms. Baer has more than 10 years of experience in building lesson plans, conducting testing and assessment plans for students ranging from elementary level to adults. She has taught English in many countries including Vietnam, Taiwan, China, Malaysia, and Saudi Arabia.

Ms. Baer has served as a Business English Tutor for International Students at International Tutoring Companies Cartus and Global LT in San Diego, CA. She also has worked as an ESL instructor at Al Khobar Women's College and King Saud University in Saudi Arabia.

In addition to her current work at OSLE, she also serves as a Lead Tutor at Professional Tutors of America in Brea, CA, teaching ESL and EFL for nearly 15 years.

"Lisa is very professional in teaching ESL. I have improved my English comprehension level in just the first few classes," commented one of the students. The staff and students of OSLE hope that the learning experience with Ms. Lisa Baer will be a rewarding one.
