Olivet Theological College & Seminary Concludes 2024–2025 Academic Year Marked by Growth and Renewed Commitment to Mission

June 09, 2025

Olivet Theological College & Seminary (OTCS) formally concludes the 2024–2025 academic year, a period widely regarded by faculty and staff as one of exceptional growth, academic advancement, and spiritual renewal. The seminary celebrates what many are calling its most fruitful and progressive year in recent memory.

A cornerstone of this year’s progress has been substantial academic development. OTCS has significantly expanded both the number and scope of its course offerings, accompanied by a focused recruitment effort to enhance its faculty base. New full-time and adjunct faculty members have joined the seminary, particularly in key areas such as General Education and Biblical Languages.

With this academic expansion, OTCS has diversified its curriculum beyond its historic strengths in Systematic Theology and Biblical Studies. The seminary now offers a wider range of courses, including offerings in Historical Theology, Worship and Rituals, Spiritual Formation, Practical Theology, and mission strategies that integrate modern information technologies. These additions are designed to equip students intellectually, spiritually, and practically for effective service in the mission field, anchored in rigorous, biblically grounded theology.

For the past three years, OTCS has pursued a strategic vision of “Academic Development,” supporting this initiative through robust faculty development programs, regular academic meetings, annual summer retreats, participation in scholarly conferences, and the provision of diverse research resources.

Beyond academics, OTCS has also made significant strides in enhancing student services and administrative support. Academic advisors provide personalized guidance throughout each student’s academic journey, from enrollment through graduation. This collaborative, hands-on approach—coordinated across multiple departments—has led to measurable increases in student satisfaction. Tailored academic support and individual counseling services have been particularly impactful for students facing academic or personal challenges.

As the academic year draws to a close, OTCS gives thanks for the evident blessings of God and remains steadfast in its commitment to ongoing growth and faithful service to the global Church.
