The Zinzendorf School of Doctoral Studies' 2023 Doctoral Colloquium held at Olivet University San Francisco Campus was successfully concluded on October 20. The two-week colloquium was held from October 9 to October 20 with doctoral students from all over the globe.
Over 50 doctoral students had an opportunity to gain academic knowledge and meaningful interaction with the outstanding faculty of ZSDS and other fellow students.
During the colloquium, the Doctor of Ministry Program offered a series of core courses for first-year students and ministry-related lectures for second-year students.
Furthermore, the Ph.D. in Global Theological Studies program offered various seminars, featuring presentations from both students and faculty. During the presentation, the faculty provided constructive and summative feedback tailored to student needs. The workshops were conducted in a student-centered manner so that students could take initiative in and ownership of their learning.
“It's exciting to begin this new academic year with the colloquium. The insights and illustrations from my professors and peers helped me to perceive mission and ministry through a wider lens and perspective,” a D.Min. student Anne Shen shared.
After the colloquium, the doctoral students will meet online for further lecture sessions and discussions with the faculty.
